Gray Label vs Grey Label: Does the Spelling Matter?
Gray label and grey label are spelling variants, not two different classes of brokerage technology. You may see forex gray label, forex grey label, MT5 gray label, and MT5 grey label used during the same search. The spelling tells you far less than the agreement and implementation details behind the offer.
Use one comparison sheet
When two providers use different spellings, place their offers in the same comparison document. Record the contracting party, platform environment, permitted branding, account capacity, manager access, and support scope. This prevents a difference in wording from appearing to be a difference in capability.
Ask what the label means to that provider
Do not assume every company uses industry shorthand identically. Ask the provider to describe the arrangement in plain language: what you receive, what you control, what remains with the provider, and which requests require approval. If the explanation is unclear, request a written example of a routine account or configuration change.
Check the words that do change the decision
Included, optional, managed, migration, and support are meaningful only when the scope explains them. A package described as managed might cover one operational task and exclude another. A migration offer should identify the records and configurations involved. Clarify these terms before comparing two monthly prices.
Keep your own communication consistent
Choose a spelling for your brand and use it consistently in customer-facing documents. In an enquiry, you can mention both variants once if it helps a provider identify the requested service. Repeating every spelling is less useful than describing the account model, required integrations, and responsibilities. Choose the setup on its documented fit, not on which search phrase led you to it.
